In one word: lazy. I've worked with Paul on both the selling end and buying end of the real estate process and I continue to be amazed by his complete lack of effort that he puts forth. Paul has been in the business for quite some time, but unfortunately has not been able to change with the times, especially in terms of technology and social media. In the buying of a home, I would bring listings to Paul's attention that had just hit the market or were about to and he would schedule a showing. In my opinion, that's the exact job that Paul should be doing, not me. (Also-as a sidenote- never even got a small gift after buying a $325,000 home. I've always gotten some kind of gift from the agent after closing). In terms of selling, he's verbatim told me that he's been doing the same thing for 23 years. In such a competitive field, you need to be able to change with the times and utilize more than just the MLS. Beyond laziness, Paul is unethical and misogynistic. Paul submitted multiple counter offers without approval of both sellers, ultimately killing the deal in the sale of my home as a result of divorce. Even though both me and my ex are equal sellers, Paul would do things that my ex asked, but not me. Paul is also willing to show homes in terrible condition. Again, it goes back to a lack of effort and not being willing to do whatever it takes to get the sale done and get it done right. Lastly, even though Paul has been in the field for some time, I have to question his knowledge of the real estate market. For example, he told me he would list my home for $420,000. After meeting with my ex, he agreed to list it for $374,900, and then told me that it's worth $362,000. A $60, 000 swing? This clearly demonstrates he'll tell you what you want to hear but has no intention of following through on his inflated claims. Very disappointed. In a saturated field like real estate, find someone else that's willing to step up and do a good job and work hard for you.
